The Salt Mine began serving the city of Lincoln in 1985. Our name comes from the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:13-14, in which He calls us to be the salt and light of the earth. This is a call from the Creator Himself to serve Him with our lives! At the Salt Mine, we want to say "Yes" to that call in any way we are equipped to pursue.

The Salt Mine is a non-profit organization as well as a church. Our main charitable activities at this time are a fully-functioning food closet, homeless assistance, a non-profit Thrift Store, and an after-school youth program.
