Food Closet
In 2025, The Salt Mine Food Closet received 40,317 requests for help and currently assists over 1,700 families in Lincoln and Sheridan. 75% of these are families with children and 30% are households with seniors. The Salt Mine gives away fresh food boxes and pantry boxes by curbside pickup, making it easy for clients to drive up and receive the food they need. Our community relies on us in times of financial difficulty and uncertainty. Thank you for supporting The Salt Mine and keeping our neighbors fed on a daily basis!

The Salt Mine Thrift Store is a resource to the Food Closet and our community. We strive to present donated items with excellence and care. The Thrift Store also provides a great opportunity for us to meet people in our community, provide household goods to those in need, and supply the Food Closet with clothing and essential items for our unhoused clients.
